Two yeses from New Delhi, and one from New York

It's official and I can spill! I've signed with Joy Azmitia at Fineprint Literary. She's fabulous, and I'm thrilled! And also I've placed two books with publishers in India--Starcursed (YA Historical) with Rupa Publishing, and Red Turban White Horse (YA Contemporary) with Scholastic India. They should both be out next year--yippie!!!

But before then I have this thing called a DEADLINE. So--back to work!

UPDATE : Then there's this. As of July 30th I'm back to (shock! horror!) being unagented again. The wonderful rep. I'd signed with at Fineprint Lit., Joy Azmitia, left agenting just a few short months after taking me on. She had good reasons for moving to the house side of publishing, so I'm glad for her. As for me, I've decided not to look for representation right now. Despite best intentions all around, my relationships with agents seem to be Starcursed.

Oh my goodness! Congratulations!!! I've been hoping and waiting for this good news ever since you "interviewed" about Starcursed. Will it be out in the US ever? Again - congratulations! ^_^

Thanks!:) And I hope so, Heather. I've kept North American rights, and Joy will send it out later this year.

It IS going to be in print, Alyson--in India, for now. The new name is Starcursed. And I will personally mail you the first copy or ARC I get.

But we'll go out on sub here later this year too. Here's hoping...

Thanks for all your encouragement last year. I really appreciate it. <3 <3 <3

Hey Tina!! Good to hear from you! I'm in Australia right now, neglecting the blog to try and get the new ms finished and feeling a bit stressed about meeting my deadline. But your comment reminded me to be thankful that I HAVE a deadline--so thanks. :) Hope things are going well with you. Fingers crossed for good news of your own soon!!
