ALA Midwinter

Just got back from the ALA Midwinter. Sooooooo tired. But very happy with my stash of ARCs. And thrilled to have met so many writing friends, many for the first time in person.

UPDATE: Just added captions under the pictures with everyone's name. Sorry about doing this late! And thanks to my daughter for letting me use her camera for ALA (the batteries on mine were dead, as per usual) Love the date feature you turned on, Kiki!
YA author Anna Staniszewski, librarian Sarah Chessman, YA/MG author Deva Fagan, YA author Ellen Booream, YA author Alisa Libby, YA author Marissa Doyle, and me.

Well, I just HAD to become a follower of your blog because I have been following Critter! Not to mention that several people who follow you, follow me and I them. So it must be destiny.(And congratulations on being agented!)

Great! It IS tiring, but a good type of tired, right? The kind that has your mind buzzing for a few days after it's all over. You can rest a bit, now, and enjoy the ARCs :)

Nandini, it was so great to meet you yesterday! Thanks for posting all the pictures. Of course, I completely forgot to bring my camera, so I'm going to link to your post on my blog tomorrow. Best of luck with your book!

Wow, Critter has quite the following!!! Not surprised because he's so cute. We're bringing him to Concord today to do some sightseeing. Will be putting up a contest on Tuesday so he can move to his next blog stop by Valentine's Day.

Bish, Thanks for the follow! You're right, we have the same kidlitosphere friends :-).

Katia, It IS a good kind of tiring. Still can't believe they were just handing out books! I came back with 21 ARCs. Had to stop when I couldn't carry any more ...

So totally cool! Sounds like you had a blast and I'm sure Critter did too. I have to say that my boys were interested in seeing where Critter is now but my youngest was NOT HAPPY AT ALL that Critter is with you and not him. Hee hee! Too cute.

Christina, That's too funny about your son! Tell him Critter says "Hi!"

Deva, It was great to meet you too. Was so disappointed that they were out of ARCs of The Magical Misadventures of Prunella Bogthistle. Can't wait to read it!
