Silver Phoenix released

ARRGH! The net is pulling me in! Must. Resist.

But before I go offline I HAVE to post the trailer and jacket of Silver Phoenix since Cindy Pon is having a contest to raffle goodies, like an original framed brushpainting, signed copies and other good stuff, on her blog.

There are more prizes to be won if you blog and review the book. Can't wait to read it!

NESCBWI Conference

Dropping in to say that the conference I attended last weekend was AWESOME. Here are some pictures from it. And since my first draft is, alas, still not done--back to writing, writing, writing ... I have even more reason (yay!) to get it finished now :-)!

Signing off for April …

To the ten odd people (and my Mum) who read this blog--I’m taking a break for the month of April. Other things in life (or more accurately, in my kids' life) can’t be put on hold--karate, music lessons, girl scouts, baseball & softball practice, MCAS exams, April vacation and such. But I need to focus on the WIP otherwise my brain is going to explode. Plus, given the difficulties I had last week I want to keep writing while the words are flowing. What to do? Something has to give. So I’m pulling the plug on the online world (except e-mail) for a bit.

Will I survive is the million $ question. I'll be back in May to report how it went. Can’t wait to catch up when I get back.

Muddling through the middle

It’s official, I’m stuck.

Maybe it was too much to expect that the thing would keep writing itself. Now I actually have to work at it. Wish I could ignore the next five chapters and skip to the end. But I’m NOT going to do that. I’m planning on pushing thorough the saggy center before rolling downhill to the finish.

Ugh!!! Wish me luck.
